Was busy for the last 3 days so couldn't upload any recipe.. This is a very famous Marathi dish. Most of our maharashtrian homes have a set menu for any holy function or festival and this bhaaji tops the list. I remember till I went to the 5th std my mother used to prepare this bhaaji along with puris for picnic it was a patent menu. DeleteThis brings back such lovely memories... :-). Me and my frds used to share our tiffins in school (and later also during college), and this bhaji was so regular..as in, it had to be there in somebody or the other's tiffin almost everyday. I guess that's how popular this simple dish is...and what's more.. its really tasty and you don't really tire of it.
ReplyDeleteMost of my frds were marathi, and my tiffin used to have dosas or variations of dosas most of the time. so, we ended up discovering (surprisingly) that this bhaji with dosas and chutney is not a bad combination..at all :-)!
Yes Sri the bhaaji is very comforting and every time I prepare it makes me nostalgic too.
DeleteVery yummy & delicious masala,yummy!!
